I am so sick of this smut

Kelly Clarkson is quickly climbing the charts and her music is so boring, uninteresting and sappy. I HATE that song!! It's been done before with Celine Dion, Mariah Carrey, etc. It makes me sick how this sap can dominate pop charts and pop stations.

During this time I have yet to hear Electrical Storm on the pop stations (I know U2 are technically not pop but these stations play Creed and Nickleback and other rock) or the American charts. I am not asking U2 to sell out to the pop charts, but some exposure would be nice. Instead, we get Kelly Clarkson lulling us to sleep.

Just ranting.

I feel the same way. Recently I saw VH1's Driven: Kelly Clarkson.. Has anyone noticed that all the winners of shows like American Idol (Popstars, etc.) just fade away? Hopefully this will be the case for Kelly Clarkson as well.

I know how you feel. I can't even listen to the radio anymore without wanting to scream in frustration. I live in a small town, far away from any metro areas, so radio stations where I live really, really, really, really suck. I have yet to hear Electrical Storm on the radio here. Oh, no, we can't play the latest song by a legendary band like U2, we have to play the latest song by Creed a million times a day instead! I'm just glad my car has a tape deck.

I haven't heard the Kelly Clarkson song yet, but I haven't listened to the radio that much in the past couple days either.

Kelly Clarkson doesn't bother me much. It's the hype that American Idol gets that does. But yes, Kelly's song (whatever the title is) ain't nothing special. It's a load of crap.
