Radio Free Europe, Pilgramage, and 9-9 on first listen. There was no song on the album I disliked on my first listen, though, which surprised me.

Righto, I'll give them a play. I didn't even notice Sitting Still until somebody else pointed it out to me, because I was so bored the first couple of times I played the album that I completely failed to notice its goodness.

I feel like it's an album I could actually like a fair bit, I just haven't given it time.

What I love so much about Murmur is the atmosphere it creates. I still haven't heard very many records like it. While the standouts aren't numerous, Radio Free Europe is classic early rocking REM (I want U2 to snippet this someday), Pilgrimage is creepy and epic, Talk About The Passion is great, jangly pop, and Perfect Circle is an unusual, lovely ballad.

I think my impression from the first couple of listens - which I emphasise were a couple of years ago now - were that all the songs really blurred together into a fairly wishywashy, insubstantial atmosphere. But when I play something like Radio Free Europe in isolation, I really enjoy it. I'm liking Pilgrimage right now. Moving onto Talk About The Passion. Jangly pop tends to go down well with me, so let's see how this works out.

I  the t-shirt idea.

Thanks.

Can't wait to wear a Kunstmuseum shirt to a U2 gig.

That kid makes me laugh, but that was a Bill Walton comment if I've ever seen one.

That's like saying, "If we get our musical abilities and songwriting abilities working together at the same time, we could really make a great album."

There's a consistent style of sound for this album, certainly. Part of the reason why tracks didn't stick out to me quite as much as they normally do. However, I really haven't found a low point, and I'm on my second listen now.

Speaking of musical abilities, is your youtube clip up yet?

Not yet.

There will be a few clips of me: we had a soundcheck before the show while most of the people attending for swimming, and you can see me playing Can't Stop, Ziggy Stardust, and Pride in those clips.

Then, there's the show, where I play a shaky cover of John Frusciante's The Past Recedes, and a surprisingly successful version of Wish You Were Here.

Then, I got interviewed after the show, so that might be there too.

I could see why you'd like Reckoning so much then. I just feel that album is, well, insubstantial, and Murmur provides an experience no album I've come across has been remotely similar to. I don't think it's my favorite REM album, but probably second or third.

PS: How much are Kunstmuseum shirts? Is it a "how much have you got" kind of thing?

Just played Perfect Circle and I think it's a good illustration of why I've found the album boring before; it just doesn't really go anywhere or do much. As for Reckoning, I would not hesitate to call So. Central Rain one of the band's very best songs. Fables is clearly my favourite REM album, though. I love the opening sequence of Feeling Gravity's Pull, Maps And Legend, and Driver 8.

Not sure how we'll be producing Kunstmuseum shirts, or if it'll be anything more fancy than iron-on transfers!

Let's make the clip private. If Screwy sees it, he could die on the spot.

Looking forward to this, BTW. What's the sound quality like?

No idea of the sound quality. The guy who filmed it is pretty good with filming, but he'd never filmed live music before, and there was some interference from the way the show was set up and the crowd. It was originally going to be on the guy's deck, but there was imminent rain, and we moved everything but the drum kit underneath a relatively small covered portion of the deck. My set was under the sun, but it was raining hard by the third song in the Blink-182 set.

Why does Blink 182 have a cover band? Why?

This is why China is going to win.

It was mostly a joke. The vocalist was particular funny in trying to emulate it.

They also covered a Bob Marley song halfway through. And a couple of guys rapped at some point.

Disagreeing with Axver's taste in music...who'd have thought?

Iron-on  Will it come off in the wash after three attempts? :hmm:

WHAT A SHOCK.

And you'll have to ask our iron-on specialist, Ali, that question.

GREAT NEWS! Thanks wikipedia

Eve 6 returns to the world of music...:

Hey boyz and girlz,

So here's the big news. You probably figured it out by the title, but yes, Eve 6 is coming back. After a 3 year hiatus, we're getting our stuff together to get out there and play for you all once again. We've given it a lot of thought and ultimately decided the best thing to do would be to make more music as Eve 6. There isn't a defined plan for a new album yet, but one will eventually be forthcoming.

To start with we'll play some shows, simple as that. The first one is actually two short weeks away at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia (Oct. 20th). However we have been told that this show is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, just students at the university. We would love nothing more than to see all of you crammed onto the quad at this nice little college, but not to worry, you'll see us soon. If you happen to live in the LA area we're also playing a benefit for the Donate Life Foundation on October 26th with Alex Band from the Calling and others. Check here MySpace.com - ALEX BANDS DONATE LIFE ROCKS - 100 - Female - Richmond, Virginia - www.myspace.com/donateliferocks1 for more information.

At this time, Jon Siebels will not be returning as our stalwart guitar player. Things are cool between us all though. We talked to him about this, and he's decided to focus on his new band, Monsters are Waiting, and on his career as a producer here in Los Angeles. We've worked out the necessary arrangements, and he's given us his blessing to carry on the name in his absence. Our pal Matt Bair from Band Camp will be handling guitar duties at these shows. Make him feel welcome!

As some of you might know, Max and Tony had a little side project called the Sugi Tap. This is being put on hold indefinitely, but check out our online EP before it becomes unavailable. Go to MySpace.com - The Sugi Tap - Los Angeles, California - Pop / Rock / Alternative - www.myspace.com/sugitap to listen to some tunes and purchase the EP. It will only be available for a few more weeks, so get it while you can. We will be playing a few of these songs at future Eve 6 shows.

That's it for now. This MySpace page will undergo a serious renovation soon, and we'll give out information as it becomes available. Check out the excellent Eve 6 Media HQ fansite (Eve 6 Media HQ -- Your one stop source for Eve 6 videos, live shows and other hard to find stuff! Used with permission of Eve 6 drummer Tony Fagenson.) for further information and discussions with the fan community. We can't wait to see you out there!

WHAT A SHOCK.

I KNOW, RIGHT?

So, are you, like, creating some factories filled with 8 year-old child workers to make these shirts? Because that's really the only way to go. Better for them than school, I figure.

After two listens, I can safely say I enjoy Murmur.

Now for the second listen of OK Computer.

I need to create some kind of ranking system for the albums I've heard. Or at least rank them somehow.

After three songs on OK Computer:

1. Paranoid Android
2. Subterranean Homesick Alien
3. Airbag
