I still remember being shocked when I saw ads on tv back in the mid-90's that had a tiny little "www.xyz.com" at the bottom in small print. I was amazed that they were mentioning an internet site on tv.

16 years - started 1989 on campus when the Internet was Telnet and Gopher.

Of course this was 4 years after I saw U2 for the first time in 1985 for the UF tour.

Telnet, lol, I remember Telnet.

I'm about the same timeframe. I too went to University and have worked at a different one since.

Theres an tv advert for bathroom tiles over here that flashes accross the screen.

10 years for me too, and TSN was also my first website ever - in fact, that was one of the main reasons I looked into the newfangled Internet thing!!

I think we first got a dialup connection back in 1997, so 8 years, but I remember going over to friends houses and going online a couple of years before then. I clearly remember my friend having to log her minutes so her dad would know how much he'd have to pay for her time online, lol.
