Ok, this includes VHS, DVD, and for you rich people HD-DVD or Blueray or even those PSP thingys.

How many movies do you possess?

I have close to 250 movies, 95% DVD and about 5-6 tv series collections.

I probably have around 200 movies give or take a few.

TV on DVD....I have
House (Seasons 1 and 2)
Desperate Housewives (Season 1 and 2)
Grey's Anatomy (Seasons 1 and 2)
Friends (Seasons 1-10)
Three's Company (Seasons 1-8)

wow, trev, I'm comin' over to your house for movie night!

Me, I don't think I actually own any. What with moving around so much and leaving my belongings stranded in different parts of the world, I've really cut back on my purchases of entertainment. :(

But now there is netflix and that is a good thing. :)

There are only 5 right now that I own & they're the ones I'll watch over & over & over.

Raising Arizona
The Princess Bride
Beetlejuice
A Christmas Story
The Wizard of Oz

 Compulsive repetitive viewing.... :giggle:

I am heading in that direction too. I am getting ready to move and have realized how much of a nuisance all those movies can be.:(

I have about 225, give or take a few, with about 10 of those being TV on DVD.
The Office (UK) - full series
ER - seasons 1 - 6
House - season 1
Arrested Development - full series

I went crazy two years ago and bought like 3 movies every week. :S
I remember during the "Cabin Fever Week of 2005" (we had to stay in because a hurricane was looming off the coast. All businesses were closed Thursday - Saturday, all roads were supposed to be kept clear, blah blah.) I was so bored that on Sunday I went to Circuit City and bought 10 movies. Everyone else was doing the same damn thing.)
Now I need the cash and I'm looking toward half.com to sell them.

Check this link out to see what I've got. I haven't updated it in a while, though.

You're doing so much better now

I'm weird, because I absolutely love movies, but I don't have a vast collection...just my favourites. I've got all the Star Wars movies, Back To The Future, E.T. - Anniversary Special Edition, This Is Spinal Tap, Silence Of The Lambs...and numerous hockey videos, but they don't really count

For TV I have:

Arrested Development - Complete Series
The Ben Stiller Show - Complete Series
Family Guy - Volumes 1, 2, and 3 (collecting dust)
Mr. Show With Bob and David - Complete Series
The Office (US) - Seasons 1 and 2

and about 200 other VHS/DVDs.

I dont have much of shit, but my Dad has been collecting VHS movies for YEARS. The whole wall of the family room is covered in them

DadsMovies1.jpg

^WOW!!!

I knew a girl whose dad had taped off every Star Trek episode including The Next Generation and early Voyager ones, and had them stored in order of stardate. This was before they released the shows on VHS or DVD.

Movies - maybe 3 or 4 and only because it was cheaper to buy them than pay the fine, and I don't even remember what they are

TV - none

<----archaic

i don't really know :reject: i've got a bunch of vhs tapes and some dvds. i couldn't even guess a number, but i know it's not a lot. maybe 150 combined. for tv series, i know i've got the complete series of arrested development and dead like me, plus seasons one and two of the nanny.

mostly i just use netflix now to watch movies and tv series i don't have. although now, i've come across a ton of stuff i wish i owned. thanks netflix :grumpy:

Not very many...maybe 35 VHS/DVD and some TV series

The Office: Season 1
ER: Seasons 1-6 (waiting on 7 to come out next week :hyper: )
Scrubs: Season 3 (random, but B&N didn't have season 1 when I went to buy season 6 of ER and it was their Buy one TV series, get one free...so I had to buy something  )

I'm another one in the archaic boat... I watch very little TV and very few movies to begin with. I guess I'm just not the kind of person who enjoys watching the same thing over and over again. I only do it with movies and TV shows that I really really love. Once I watch a movie or a TV episode, I tend to have little desire to see it again.

With that said, here is my pitiful little collection. I'm not including anything that other people have burned for me (even though they tend to be more awesome than the stuff I bought myself  .) I'm not including any downloaded TV shows/movies either.

Movies:
The Silence Of The Lambs (my favourite!)
Hannibal
Red Dragon
Psycho
The Wall
X-Men (all three)
The Lord Of The Rings (all three)
Shrek 2

So that makes a grand total of 12 movies.

TV:
Absolutely Fabulous (series 1-5, some of which are VHS tapes that I can't watch on Canadian VHS players. )
Blackadder (series 1-4, ALL OF WHICH are VHS tapes that I can't watch on Canadian VHS players. )
House (seasons 1 & 2)
M*A*S*H (season 7)

12 TV DVDs/tapes.

I told you it was pitiful.

VHS:
Good Will Hunting
The Sound of Music

DVD:
Love Actually
School of Rock (was a gift)
Waking Ned Devine (was a gift)
Lord of the Rings second one (came in the mail as a free promo)

I have about 60 movies total but most are just bootlegged data files :reject: I like to watch on my laptop and my husband's computer screen, video card, and speaker system are better than our TV.

I've no idea. I've got a bunch of cheap old movie compilations, you know, the sort that has Bogart playing a horror role from the late 30s on one disc, and Road to Bali on the other. I get any with fairly rare or interesting stuff from the 30s and 40s on it. I'm not sure how many DVDs I've got all up, certainly I don't have the money to have my collection go over 100. Never been much of an impulse DVD buyer, unlike with CDs. If I had to guess, I'd have something like 30-50 DVDs, including bootlegs. Most recent acquisition is 300.

Bottom series 1, 2 and 3, and Guesthouse Paradiso
Young Ones series 1 and 2
Blair Witch Project
Das Boot
Der Untergang 3dvd :combust:

that's all :shifty:

Over 200 movies on VHS and DVD, lots of series eg. Batman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars etc.

That 70's Show
Arrested Development
MASH
Allo Allo
