how bad is 'joey'?

i enjoyed catching cheap thrills with the whole friends gang.

but the cheapest of the thrills was always joey. when his own show launched i had reserved hopes. his character was enjoyable in the friends format, but he was only 1/6th of that show. how would the joey character do when it was all him?

the first few months of the show confirmed my suspicions. it was brutal.

but around christmas, it actually became funny.

all in all, the show seems mediocre. sadly, it seems that is what i will settle for in a comedy these days.

I think there's a reason why NBC is in fourth place these days in the ratings.

I have a lot of admiration for ABC for being able to turn around its schedule in such a short time. Only last season, ABC was an embarrassment!

I've not watched it yet, because I assumed it would be awful. I should give it a chance, but I really don't want to. I never liked the character of Joey.
It's not been put on the same channel as Friends was, which means only limited people can watch it (the channel in question is only broadcast in certain areas of the country), so I think they assumed it might not be that good.

As long as they don't make a "Phoebe" it's decent. She was just too stupid.

I had a huge crush on Lisa Kudrow and the Phoebe character.
