Hopefully a Lightning Seeds appreciation thread.

OK this post may bomb but I'm going to have a go. A search of JTBATC yields just one mention so I'd be surprised if anyone responds. Anyway for my money, one of the great forgotten acts there's a repackaged greatest hits collection out on Monday so I thought this thread was long overdue.
Fair enough it's cashing in on the World Cup but I think it can be forgiven. Saw them in a tiny venue in Camden last night and I've got to be honest it's one of the best gigs I've ever been. Driving my flatmates mad humming Pure all day so I'm hoping someone else has good memories of The Lightning Seeds beyond Three Lions.

I think 'Pure' is a really lovely song.

I aren't a big massive fan of The Lightning Seeds (I own precisely none of their albums) but every single Lightning Seeds song that I own through compilation albums and what not, I love.
Great band And Pure is a fantastic song.

Add my love to the Ian Broudie appreciation, one of the lesser-but-should-be-more-famous-cos-he's-done-loads-league.
