I've had the song Mad About You for a while on mp3 but never really bothered to look up the band. Now, thanks to Yahoo LaunchCast (isn't it amazing?), I got to hear most of a previous album of theirs, called Blue Wonder Power Milk.

It's pretty good. Any Hoover fans here on interference?

They are from Belgium and actually just released a new album.
They are very popular and one of the biggest bands in Belgium.

I don't have all the albums but my personal favourite is The Magnificent Tree

BTW.. I didn't know they were known outside Belgium (perhaps also in Holland, but Canada???)

albums
2005 - No More Sweet Music (2CD)
2003 - Sit Down and Listen to Hooverphonic
2002 - Hooverphonic Presents Jackie Cane
2000 - The Magnificent Tree
1998 - Blue Wonder Power Milk
1997 - A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular

Well the first time I heard Mad About You (which is on Magnificent Tree I believe) was in France a couple of years ago, on an ad for the Highways (autoroutes). I sent them an email to know who was singing... I obviously wasn't the first to ask...

I don't think they're very well known here in Québec/Canada...
But any trip-hop fan knows of them I think...

Wow, they did a lot of things..................but no video, no promotion, or have I missed everything?

i picked up a new sterophonic sound spectacular a few years ago at a used cd place after hearing the very awesome 2wicky. the rest of the album is alright, though it doesn't beat portishead or massive attack. haven't heard anything else by them.

I like them, esepcialy the voice of the singer. Live she is even better
I have only the Magnificent Tree and it is a fine album.
