Not much is really happening here. I'm just adjusting from having so much uni shit to having absolutely nothing for a while. Trying to decide what to do with my holidays. Don't want to waste them just sitting around thinking "shit, I should do something".

i have a couple of days off,
i usually set myself a list of things i really need to do, and have really high expctations,
then i end up sleeping most of the day and doing nothing and being dissapointed with myself.

I always figured you'd rule over U2 Hell with an iron fist and a leather whip.
Yeah, if somebody said "hey come meet me on the train at 5:30am!", I'd tell them "hm, no, I don't really fancy pictures of digital noise that may or may not have a train in the background".Yeah, I tend to think I'll tidy up the place, and I do some of it, but never quite all of it. Ah well. At this stage, I do intend to get some baking done. Maybe get Ali and U-Wen over one day for a Phail recording session. Beyond that ... no idea.

Boring. Well my Day was alright, but Tonights been boring.
Moving office went pretty smoothly, there's still a bit to be done, but I left at 3....I'd had enough, and there were plenty of others around anyways.

Glad things went smoothly there. Heh, I slept away a lot of the day, then wasted much of the rest. But the rugby's on soon, so I'll get out the wine and cheese and crackers, so that should be good.

All this talk of alcohol reminds me, I still have some Johnny Walker in the Fridge 
The Wallabies are playing France. Only time you'll catch me going for Australia unless you're playing the Yanks. The game was actually earlier this evening, but since it was held HERE, they're broadcasting it on delay to Melbourne viewers.

And its Channel 7?, and they could have shown it LIVE...because of the Vicar Of Dibly or whatever piece of crap TV show they put on instead.
I'm really pissed off at Free To Air stations and Sport these days.

Yeah, that really pissed me off when I checked the TV guide. Couldn't believe my eyes. I'd not be too irked if it were just a half hour delay or something like what they often do with the AFL, but pushing it back to MIDNIGHT is stupidity. I'm alright with it, since I'm always up then anyway, but for most people, it's just too late. No wonder union isn't gaining a foothold in Victoria; the people can't bloody see it!
Sport coverage on free-to-air in this country is a pathetic joke compared to what it was back in the late 1990s.

Damn straight. It's been alright, but I reckon once Channel 7 lost the Footy Rights in 2002, it just started a domino effect on all the other sports.
Everyone keeps saying Pay TV isn't expensive, and it's not really, but I shouldn't HAVE to have Pay TV to Watch my OWN COUNTRY, or Favorite Team.
Remembers the days when SBS had 1 Live English Premier League Game a week, and then the highlights program?
Pay TV is fucking expensive if you ask me. I mean, $35 a month, mostly for channels I have no interest in watching? Piss off. And then making me pay more and more to get the various packages that DO offer the sport I want - it's an absurdity. If they'd offer a channel for a dollar or two, then I'd just get all the sport channels. I'd pay $10 a month for that. Maybe I'd even throw the history channel or something into the mix. But as it stands, it's moronic and it just pushes people away from sport. It over-commercialises it. While there is a place for commercialisation in sport and it helps keep things afloat, it is at the core a social and communal activity, and without that aspect, it withers and dies. See state cricket for proof.

You don't even get the sports channels as part of the basic package anymore, I'm not sure about Foxtel, but Austar definitely don't have that old package.
So its more like around $60 for sports channels now. Until I get a massive pay rise, I'll have to put up with this shitty Free To Air sports channels.
