How about you blokes put some money up on this bet, send it to me, and if I like it, I'll go buy it with the money.

If my money's going towards buying any music, I'd prefer it to be concert tickets so that I'm not seeing bands by myself!

I can't figure out what the hell it has to do with chocolate.

NOTHING AT ALL. Such is its power.

I admit, I'd rather see ads like that which have nothing to do with the product, than ads full of naked women advertising cars or hardware or something else that has nothing to do with the bulk of the ad.

Um. You said you get the money before you listen to the album. *did read the post*

Perhaps I was unclear... I think I meant that I would listen to the album for free, then if I liked it, I'd use the bet money to buy the CD, redundant as that would be. And if I didn't like it, Ax would be right, and he'd win the $$.

That makes sense to me, but I'm a little scrambled right now

Ah, now this is a good point.

Still, the best ad ever remains the Toyota "bugger" ad. Clever AND related to the product.

Oh, bastards. Either way I lose.

, thank christ.

Though it would be funny to rock up at a black metal concert dressed like some wanky hipster who goes to ten Radiohead shows per tour and flew all the way to Montreal to see The Arcade Fire in their hometown.

Best unrelated ad goes to that "It's a Big Ad" thing to the tune of O Fortuna. Which is kind of related, cos they all make the shape of a guy drinking beer at the end.

 All those fat guys scrambling over the fence, wearing yellow robes...

Well, Ax did make the bet, so maybe he should just put the money up by himself... In which case he comes out even if I don't like it, or else I get a free CD.

Don't gamble, kids! It's too damn confusing.

That's my one vice.

I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't have all day sex too often, but I could probably gamble my life away.

Was that one of those ridiculous, over-the-top Carlton Draught ads? My favourite is the one that uses the theme from The Great Escape.

Right so, turns out I have been feeling off after all, won't overshare but I was just sick.

I figure it might have been the haloumi or something. My head hurts.

I park in the casino car park every day, never felt tempted to actually go in and gamble. It's kinda depressing to see all the pensioners going in there every other Thursday, though.

I'm pretty sure that ad sold some bloody beer, after all.

I wouldn't mind a second life, especially if it's a life that involves attractive girlfriends. So what would you gamble your life on?

I'm trying to remember exactly what happens ... I think it involves beer falling from the sky.

As in, a big glass of beer with blokes skydiving out of it, or that one where they shoot beer ingredients into the clouds (and a deer, for some reason), and then it rains beer?
