The problem I have with most post-rock bands is that they sound the same at times. I'm having a hard time separating this from This Will Destroy You or Godspeed!

One of the reasons why I love Sigur Ros and Explosions...

I jsut hear way to many guitars playing at the samre time. THe guitar works great, much more efective, IMO.

I actually agree about the sameness. It gets like that at times. But with GIAA, their sound is unique, as they tend to use keyboards a bit more prominently than other bands, and have some songs that are almost ambient in nature.

I don't think GIAA sounds anything like GY!BE really. I think their sound is a good deal distinct. What I've heard of GY!BE has been longwinded, dull, and done little. GIAA are really soaring and even something like anthemic in points.

If anybody's not that separable from other post-rock bands, it's EITS. Though that's mainly due to other bands copying EITS, so it's not a criticism I level at them, but at others for sounding like them.

I know how it is when it gets dry here. I always get antsy when the fire index gets high or extreme. Why does rain always tend to fuck off when you need it most?

7. LCD Soundsystem – “All My Friends” – Sound Of Silver (7:37)
I'm not warming up to LCD Soundsystem. Did he just sing that "we set the controls for the heart of the sun"? I've crucified RPWL for doing that, but this fit a bit better than RPWL's over-obvious, nauseating hero worship did.

Well, I suppose this isn't really bugging me but it's not doing a whole lot over its length either.

We've been needing rain for about eight years! I think we're soon going to have to accept that we're not in drought any more; this is normal.

All the dead grass isn't that pretty either.
