Great game! I'm a free agent fan with no allegiances, but it was pretty exciting at the end. Nice of Koivu to give his stick to that fan...I liked that.

You think Montreal is bad? Have you watched the Penguins lately? Crosby and Malkin may be the next gretzky/messier, but no one is going to give them any respect if they keep diving the way they do. They should wear speedos and enter the rink from a 30 foot diving board just to be consistant.

pens are sacred , esp Crosby & Malkin , and uberbeaver i don't see them too much during the year , but canadiens , they don't just dive , they do all those little nasty things , it goes beyond diving

btw whats your opinion on yashin, bust or a national treasure ?

I think I watched one Montreal game this year. But I'm not sure. I still think the Kovalev hit on Tucker last season was the greatest thing ever, but that's probably because I despise Darcy Tucker. He should be banned from the league.

You're a Bruins fan or a Penuins fan? I thought Black and Gold was Boston.

Yashin - the past couple of seasons he was just a waste. He got booed, he didn't hustle, just sort of drifted on the ice. This year he actually looks like he deserves the money he's making. I'm not sure if it's the new coach, or that his fried Kozlov is on the team, but whatever. Keep it up. He actually looks like a captain. When he gets back I think the Islander fans are going to lose it. That'll be something different.

i'm a bruins fan , but pens have something about them . the players they had , players they have , it's a trainwreck sometimes , but it's fun to watch,
and then i hear those news about team moving out

I know what you mean. It's like they are either Stanley Cup bound, or dead last. They're never just "ok". And it would be sad to see them go. A lot of history there. But money talks.

The Blues retired Brett Hull's number 16.

I think my new mission is to see a Leafs/Canadian's game. That's some Olde Tyme Hockey, right there.

On what grounds?

Tucker is tough as balls. Cheap shots will knock just about any player down.

I really want to tear a strip off Kovalev right now, but it's too easy - I'd be writing a book, which I don't have time for.

Suffice it to say that anyone who thinks Alexei Kovalev is a tougher hockey player than Darcy Tucker knows nothing about hockey.

I grew up a Leafs fan (in case you couldn't tell), and my stepdad's a lifelong Habs fan. We always used to tease each other every time the two teams played each other. Last year the rivalry wasn't very interesting to watch (basement teams ) but this year it looks like it might go right down to the bitter end.

Fuck the Habs.

And the Sens too, for good measure.
