Yzerman's getting his number retired tonight. It's pretty cool, they had all the Wings take the pre-game skate with various jerseys he's worn in his career.

For the mini-montage thingy they used Pride and Desire.

Freakin' Yzerman

Game 7, double overtime, 0-0 game

Wayne Fuckin' Gretzky is a lazy ass and loses the puck at mid ice.

Yzerman scores from the blueline.

Heartbreaking.

In other news, Andy Murray is the greatest coach of all time.

We watched it. Ernie is the big Red Wings fan (I'm a fan by association with him. ). It was very touching.

For anyone following the World Juinor Hockey Championships, the Canada/US semi-final game went to a marathon shootout.

Brilliant stuff to watch

Fucking awesome!

Too bad I'll be at work for the gold medal game. That always seems to happen.

The Canucks' win over Dallas tonight (2-1 in S/O) brings them to 5 wins in a row. Things are definitely looking better!

I find it hilarious right before the camera cuts away you get a closeup of the players celebrating and hear a "Fuck yeah" and someone else shouts "Fuckin' right"

God damn, Toronto. Calm down on the goal scoring. Save some for later games.

Impressive display.

10-2

Alex Steen almost doubled his total goals in one night... I smell a 5-game loosing streak...

This is at the same time incredible and amazingly stupid. How could someone miss an open net like that? This game just adds to the Stars-Oilers rivalry which began a few years ago after they kept meeting in the playoffs year after year.

Well, in his defence it seems like the puck just bounced over his stick. I don't think what Ray Ferraro said was called for.

It's not like Stefan pulled a Leon Lett and slowly skated towards the open net before an opposing player took the puck away from him. Although him falling down was pretty funny.
