This is a great thread Maddie!

Salome, your understated answers always make me smile, you remind me so much of my brother!

Let's see...

1) Eating.

2) Sleeping in.

3) Waiting for the curtain to go up at the ballet...that same feeling of excitement as at the beginning of a U2 show (albeit not quite as intense!)

4) Sitting in a canoe at 6am at the cottage listening to nature waking up and watching the sun rise.

5) Eating out with friends (subtly different from #1)

6) Feeling for 5 minutes that I am somewhat glamorous, or at least not invisible by belly dancing Mysterious Ways with U2 tribute band Elevation

7) Having an immaculately clean house (made even better by the fact that it is actually MY house!).

8) Paying off the bills (that was a good one, U2STW!)

9) Getting email from friends. Empty email boxes depress me.

10) Hanging out on interference, and especially meeting fellow interferencers in person.

11) Watching movie previews at the theatre (often enjoy them more than the movie!)

12) Watching TV in my fleecy sweats.

13) Going out without makeup, earrings or hair done on the weekend.

14) Bugging husband until I get my way...sweet victory!

15) Travelling.

And of couse, ANYTHING to do with U2!

I love that feeling after you have paid ALL YOUR BILLS for the entire month. I save mine up and pay them all at once.

There is something so wonderful about knowing they are all paid and done with forever! Well, for 30 days or so.

That makes me happy when i pay my bills too. Something about it just gives me a good feeling.

other things that make me happy:

my daughter falling asleep in my arms
getting a phone call from a faraway friend
getting (e)mail from faraway friend
walking at night
listening to u2

Oooh, I also like finding money in my pocket.
And a brand new thing of toothpaste.
And fountain soda (as opposed to canned or bottled).
I like pens that write really well.
And Bono. Of course.
I like tailgating at Rams games but I hate feeling like crap at work on Mondays.

- concerts
- friends (U2 and non-U2, ones I've had from way back, etc.)
- days my mom and I hang out and it feels like we're friends instead of mother and daughter, just joking around and having a blast
- cuddling with my kitty, esp. when she curls up next to my chest when I'm lying on my bed reading
- waking up and having my puppy curled up at the foot of the bed, warming my feet
- cute boys
- the paying off all bills was a good one, so I'll add that
- iced cappucinos
- posting on interference
- learning something new
- buying little treats for myself, like the kinda pricey lotion I got last week (but, damn is my skin silky and I smell good )
- having a beer while watching tv just for the hell of it
- watching my Bruce vids (U2, too!)
- painting my toenails funky colors (this week, electric blue)
- writing a new poem
- good hair days
- italian food
- chocolate

Ok, didn't know I had so much, but that's a good thing!

I forgot a few:

*Tiramisu, Olive Garden's is my current fave
*The smell of a baby's head
*Pot bellied Pigs
*Getting an A on a test
*Getting an IV catheter into a vein on the first try
*Alaskan King Crab legs (OMG, we went to Sam's Club last week and bought some there, $10/lb *yikes* but they were the best I've ever had, even better than at Outback Steakhouse!)
*Hugs from my mom
*Dreams with Bono or Larry in it
