How about showing a little love for this classic. Many have tried, but nobody has matched the blistering gangsta feel of this tune. At least a quarter of all rap songs have been done in a similiar vein. That vein being a heavy, sweltering atmosphere filled with twinges of anger and the aftermath of conscience left when that anger gets the best of you. As usual on a Hendrix tune, the guitar playing is masterful. Special props to the bass playing, also. It really carries the heaviness of the song.

Listen to the Live at Berkeley version off the Concerts album. Absolutely Fucking awesomely superb! And while your at it listen to Are You Experienced recorded at Winterland off the same live album, the best live collection of songs I have EVER heard!
