I didn't see a thread on this. Only two days until the new season! I can't wait!

I'll have to avoid the internet on Tuesday, because I'll be taping the show tomorrow night while I'm at a concert.

Whoot!

So excited, I just finished rewatching the season with the last two episodes yesterday, perfect timing.

I KNOW!

I sat through that Chuck show before Heroes and it seemed to drag by... Heroes felt like a half hour or something...

Couple of points:

-I liked Mr Bennet/Butler working at that copy place, when he twisted that idiot's arm was awesome

-Should we start taking bets who the mystery dude is that pulled Hiro's father off the roof? Since the person's face was covered, I'm willing to bet it's someone we have seen before...

-The dude who can turn metal into gold has the coolest power, hands down...

-What was the deal with Nathan's reflection in the mirror in the bar? Was that a hallucination or reality of some sort?

Hiro's father being thrown off the roof pissed me off, but i did like the rest of the show. it did seem short.

I was wondering the same thing. And were there two bodies or one on the ground?

I thought it was the scarred face of his brother, some type of guilt hallucination. Who knows...

So I'm going to take a guess and say Hiro, is going to turn out to be his own hero. Otherwise it would alter time as we know it and the whole first season would be useless.

The first one, I only watched the last 5 miutes of it.....and it still seemed to be to long.

The second thing, I missed it, I got to the part where Hiro's father saw the guy, then I opened the door, talked to someone for less then a minute, turned back to the tv, and it was at the next scene. What happened?

The third thing, I was wondering about that also. Maybe, it shows what could have happened to him, if he had stayed with Peter, or what had happened to him?

good call!! it's definitely posible

I really liked this first episode oh... and there was only one body in the ground

This is probably true, it just made me wonder... On top of that, why wasn't Nathan scarred at all? If not from the explosion then the radiation Peter was giving off...

, it'll either be that or he will teach Kensei the ways of being a Hero...

No offense to Heroes fans, but I don't get all the hubbub.
First, all the deaths or near-deaths were pure plot tricks.
DL didn't die. Parkman was supposed to be on death's door. Sylar was supposed to be dead, but they left that in doubt as he seemed to drag himself or be dragged into the sewer. The only touching moment of the finale, the Petrellis committing suicide to save the city, has been undone very conveniently. This is comic book logic, including dramatically.

It was so predictable and ripping off X-Men with the virus thing killing all mutants. The episode really dragged by focussing on Claire's annoying drama, and that guy in her class was so cliche. Who almost hits someone and then blames them? What a jerk.

I can already see the arcs of this season:
Hiro will teach the white Samurai how to become the hero of legend, perhaps fulfilling history, and Mrs. Petrelli will prove to her sons that she cares and sacrifice herself in some big dramatic moment.

Also, what's with all the guilt? Mr. Sulu is such a dick. I never respected my son until he risked his life? He deserved to die! Then again, he'll surely come back. The start of next episode will probably feature him getting up and walking upright.

I could already tell the fishy smugglers were going to try to rape the woman and perhaps die in the process or that her brother would kill them. Props to the writers for humanizing Latin American illegal immigrants, though.

Someone has to kill Dr. Suresh. I say this as a South Asian. That guy's voice overs are painful and don't create awe with me at all. He's an awful actor and could have worked on his British accent over the summer.

Mr. Bennett's scene was very predictable; they overdid the boss bullying. I preferred how Lost handled it with Locke. His worries about "protecting my family" seem a bit single-minded for him -- like it's the only thing that defines him. I still like him more than most.

I also thought Nathan Petrelli's whole convenient turn from ambitious brother to now only caring for his fallen Peter was cliche. Still, nice to see him with a beard. I like him, too.

I admit to getting excited finally when they revealed Peter, but then it ended.

It's cool, though, if you guys like it. It's fun like The O.C. or any old porn, I guess. Chuck was pretty bad; a mix of some boring spy action thing with "40 Year Old Virgin" and "Die Hard 4". The women were gorgeous, though. Another nebbish Jew stereotype. I liked him better when he was Seth Cohen. By the way, I'm not an O.C. fan, but I've been watching it on reruns and I do find Peter Gallagher and Seth enjoyably funny in these early seasons.

Here you go:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5B3KvGYGq4

In case it gets taken off youtube.com, here's a description:

A hooded figure appeared. I really hope it's not Sylar because that would be too predictable, but Ando came by to give him the sword, but had just come up the stairs. Hiro's father said something like, "I'm surprised to see you. I would have suspected you the least." The hooded person was already on the roof. Ando rushed to give him the sword from behind the stairway, but the hooded person ran at Hiro's dad and dragged him as they both fell off the building top. When Ando ran and shouted, "Noooo!", He saw only Hiro's father laying on the ground, apparently dead. If he really IS dead, that's quite shocking, but I somehow doubt it.

Hope that helps, bub.

You haven't read much comic books or sci-fi, have you?

The rest of your post just seems very bitter because more people will watch Heroes rather than BSG.

I was actually interested in what you were saying (I spotted the X-Men rip off as well) until you made this comment.

Anyhow...

I'm wondering who the mystery dude is who killed Sulu :hmm:

The person seemed too short to be Sylar...

I heard one guess it was Nikki or Jessica (I can't remember which one is the bad one) but that doesn't seem like her style..

It use to be this poster couldn't comment on anything without mentioning Battlestar Galatica, now it seems he can't make a post without the word 'Jew' in it somewhere.

It's quite ironic that he bitches about stereotypes and cliches throughout his posts.

How very .... predictable.

Remember, originality isn't everything, but it does count for something.

BTW - Am I the only one guessing that the mystery person was Peter?

he doesn't remember who he is and I'm assuming he can't remember the last 4 months ...

The one complaint I have with the show is the blatant plugs for Nissan. I think its time to let it go ...

I never thought of Peter :hmm: you could be right...

I know what you mean about Nissan...

I really noticed it when I re-watched Season 1 on DVD

I'm not too good at guessing along with shows, but, Peter was the first name that popped into my head when I saw that scene....not saying I'd bet on it, but, that was my gut reaction.
