Its all good...in Anaheim, there is a place called the Gourmet Pig... Yes, it is! a sandwich that can last two days!!! :fat:

I feel my arteries clogging just by reading your post!!!

well...here in Maine....

we call them subs....or an italian sandwich and if they are served hot with meatballs on them then they are a grinder....

does that explain anything? lol

I voted for sub but I meant grinder. :reject: We have our own dialect here in Rhode Island. The sandwich you get on a torpedo roll at your local Subway...that's a grinder.

 we have none of those words in england.

well....sub is starting to be used, but only cos we've got Subway over here now.

mainly we call them sandwiches. or baguettes if they come in a long crusty roll.

I mean....a sub is a maritime vessel, a grinder is something you use to powder grains and seeds, god knows what a hoagie is, a hero is someone who saves damsels in distress, a poor boy is Olilver Twist, and a bomber is something used by the dam busters

why the hell do you need so many words for a sandwich

*mutters under breath* bloody yanks *mutter mutter*

It is part of a national security effort to protect our lunch-time food supply.....

In MO we call it cow, pig, cow, turkey
or betsy, wilber, moo, and tom depending on how well you knew the animal:wink:

Really subs but I saw the option for BFS and had no choice but to vote for that - Have now added it to m vocabular and plan on ordring it as such from subway tomorrow

Edited to say that I sadly knew tom before he became Thanksgiving dinner one year
