Vienna, to be precise.

Gimme everything you got. And soon.

Please? :sexywink:

Ok, everybody just calm down. You don't have to post your suggestions all at once.

Falco - Vienna Calling

Is Vienna the specific theme, or do you have something else in mind? I'd love to help more. :)

Bless you.

I'm not clear yet myself. I thought I'd get clearer with ideas from you guys. Maybe a combination of Vienna, Europe, moving, starting a new life, saying goodbye, etc.

First, I'm serious about the Falco song...

Hmm...let's see here...I'll just throw out some ideas.

Manic Street Preachers - Miss Europa Disco Dancer (Europe)
Tom Petty - Time to Move On (moving)
U2 - Kite (saying goodbye)
Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism (being distant from a loved one)
Ryan Adams - Wish You Were Here (missing someone)
Frou Frou - Let Go (new life)
Suzanne Vega and DNA - Tom's Diner (coffee)
U2 - Beautiful Day (traveling, new beginning?)

Hope that's helpful, and maybe some other people will chime in.

Vienna- Billy Joel

Slow down, you crazy child.
You're so ambitious for a juvenile.
But then if you're so smart, tell me why are you still so afraid?
Where's the fire? What's the hurry about?
You better cool it off before you burn it out.
You got so much to do and only so many hours in a day.

But you know that when the truth is told
That you can get what you want or you can just get old?
You're gonna kick off before you even get halfway through.
When will you realize Vienna waits for you?

Slow down, you're doing fine.
You can't be everything you wanna be before your time,
Although it's so romantic on the borderline tonight.
Too bad, but it's the life you lead.
You're so ahead of yourself that you forgot what you need.
Though you can see when you're wrong,
You know, you can't always see when you're right.

You've got your passion. You've got your pride,
But don't you know that only fools are satisfied?
Dream on, but don't imagine they'll all come true.
When will you realize Vienna waits for you?

Slow down, you crazy child.
Take the phone off the hook and disappear for a while.
It's all right you can afford to lose a day or two.
When will you realize Vienna waits for you?
When will you realize Vienna waits for you?

Some of these might be reaching a bit, but I was just trying to think of my favorite artists & songs that have inspired me in that sort of situation:
Doves - there goes the fear
Doves - catch the sun
Starsailor - Born Again
Neil Halstead - two stones in my pocket
Neil Halstead - sleeping on roads
Elbow - scattered black and whites or grace under pressure
Beth Orton - Central Reservation
Snow Patrol - Chocolate
Idlewild - you held the world in your arms
South - loosen your hold
U2 - walk on
the delays - wanderlust
I really like a lot of Neil Young ones, but some might be a bit more...depressing maybe, than you want...
I"ll try to think of more :)

Great ending too. ;)

If you can try and find this song by Adriano Celentano (I think that's the spelling) called Il Ragazzo della via Gluck (I think). It's the kind of thing I'd expect in an Italian cafe...so that's too birds with one stone!

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I had the Billy Joel song in my head but couldn't remember the title. :reject:
