Little hand says it's time to rock and roll.
So, I've still got 17.01 left on my iTunes gift card, but there really isn't an album that I want to buy right now. So, I am going to buy some individual songs to add to my workout playlist, but I need your help in choosing them.

Here are some of my most played songs in the list:

Rockers:
Wake Up - Arcade Fire
Pocket Full of Shells - Rage Against the Machine
Vertigo - U2
Float On - Modest Mouse
Prophecy - Remy Zero
Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes

Rap:
99 Questions - Jay-Z
What More Can I Say - Jigga
Welcome to Detroit City - Eminem
How We Do - The Game
Loose Control - Missy Elliot

Sexy Songs by Hot Chicks:
Dirrty - Xtina
Buttons - Pussycat Dolls

Recommend me some other schiznit!

I have a few workout mixes on my iTunes at home. I'll check when I get home later. Within the last few days, maybe even yesterday, there was an article on the main page of Yahoo about choosing workout music and what kind of music can be a good soundtrack for different kinds of exercise. I think it was from the New York Times.

You're the Best Around (No One Is Ever Gonna Keep You Down)
Eye of the Tiger
Bastards of Young - Replacements

I don't really like music when I run and stuff cause I get paranoid I'm going to get hit by a car. Also - if I'm using weights I like to hear if anyone is laughing at me, so I don't really use music. But if I do - it's all about the Karate Kid soundtrack. ALL ABOUT IT.

kanye west - stronger
foo fighters - best of you
ac/dc - thunderstruck
william shatner - common people

definitely go with stronger though

See people: this is the kind of stuff I am looking for. Plus, she likes Catherine Wheel which (i'm still checking on this to be sure) I believe offsets the fact that Collective Soul is on the list.

Well done, scratchy.

Sometimes I'll do all U2 mixes, and I throw in songs like the Pop Musik remix, Out of Control, Xanax and Wine, Mofo, and the Fly. I like listening to a Popmart show sometimes, too.

Radiohead - Bodysnatchers

That's lasted on my current playlist longer than any other song. I have a love/hate relationship with my gym, maybe because at the one I go to, they pump so much crappy stuff out over the speakers...at extremely high volume...right over the rowing machine, which I love.

Rhythm and intensity are keys at the gym. A triple threat that instantly comes to mind:

Radiohead
White Stripes
Arcade Fire

They are my weapons against Fergie.

This is my space moon playlist. May its funkiness be with you:

1. Funkadelic - One Nation Under A Groove
2. Jimi Hendrix - Crosstown Traffic
3. The Doors - Soul Kitchen
4. Beastie Boys - Hey Ladies
5. Kanye West - Touch The Sky
6. Beck - The New Pollution
7. The Streets - Blinded By The Lights
8. Blur - Girls & Boys
9. LCD Soundsystem - Tribulations
10. Prince - Kiss
11. The Go! Team - Ladyflash
12. The Four Tops - Baby I Need Your Loving
13. U2 - Do You Feel Loved?
14. Portishead - Sour Times

PS: "Pocket Full Of Shells" is actually called Bulls On Parade.

It's weird, I don't even have a workout mix. I always just listen to various other playlists or whatever. This morning I listened to The Bends on the elliptical and when I was done and took out my earbuds, the gym was playing Bruce Springsteen (specifically, Badlands) and it kind of made me want to get back on the machine and continue my workout.

I'm thinking of buying a shuffle soley for the gym.

The iPod I have now just has way too much stuff in it and I don't feel like constantly going and scrolling through it all to find good workout songs. If I have the shuffle, I can put different workout playlists on it, clip it on, and be good to go.

I've thought about this, too. Would be a lot more convenient all around.

I have a huge work-out playlist, and I'm just copying directly from my iPod. I like to be able to switch it up, so I just put a copious amount of songs on it, and scroll to different parts.:nerd:
