The first one was a pop/rock song, the chorus was "can you take me higher...is this the moment I've been waiting for?" (sorry I don't have any more info) by a male voice, and at the word "higher" it goes to falsetto.

The second one I keep hearing every once in a while - it starts "Everybody's talkin' bout...", the chorus is I think "I'm going where the wind is on my mind, I am leaving nothing behind". Kind of country-ish sound.

Since I'm asking, anybody know Hoobastank? I saw the video for "Reason" on MTV the other day and I liked the song.

The first song, I'm not sure, but it can be a spider man sound track song, the first one...
Black Lab - Learn to Crawl
I'm really not sure, but it reminded me this song

I've heard about Hoobastank, never heard or seen any video though

Good luck!

Could be "Everybodys talkin" - , the original version sounds countryish by Harry Nillson ( I think)

but The Beautiful south did an excellant version of it more recently..

The lyrics:

Everybody's talking at me
I don't hear a word they're saying
Only the echoes of my mind

People stopping staring
I can't see their faces
Only the shadows of their eyes

I'm going where the sun keeps shining
Thru' the pouring rain
Going where the weather suits my clothes
Backing off of the North East wind
Sailing on summer breeze
And skipping over the ocean like a stone...

Maybe

"Everybody's Talkin' " written by Fred Neil.
Yep. Harry Niillson had a hit with tune.
Stephen Stills also did an excellent cover
of the song too.

God, I could listen to Nilsson's version of "Everybody's Talking" 1,000 times in a row and never get sick of it. It's a perfect thingy.

If I hear "Reason" one more time...

Sorry, I can't help you out with the other two questions, but Hoobastank isn't really that great. The rest of the album is completly different from "Reason".

It's always on the radio.

Understatement of the century

It's always on MTV and MTV2 also (when they actually play music videos.... :| )
