HD-DVD and our HDTV's!!!


This really sucks for alot of people. Stupid Corporations. And they wonder why people pirate stuff. You have to have HDMI input for the HD-DVD to work??!!!??

This is why I'm not buying any HD-anything until it all become entirely mainstream. Let the kinks get worked out, let everything sync with each other, and let the prices come down. I forget where I read it, but I believe I've read that the average lifespan of a Plasma or LCD TV is only like 8 years. What's the point of spending $3-7K on something that's only going to last 8 or fewer years?

As much as I'd love to have a 51" flat-screen plasma on my wall right now ( ), I think I'll wait...

Remember the first ones that suffered pixel burn from those bloody TV network watermarks, they also cost upwards of $10,000 so really
