Day after Thanksgiving? Try day after HALLOWEEN like it was in my stores!! It used to be, years ago, the Christmas season started after the Macy's Thanksgiving parade when Santa rode in and waved. Still, my family never put up any lights or got a tree until Dec. 15. (My birthday is Dec. 5, and it's no fun having it so close to Christmas! All my relatives skipped my b-day, thinking oh well it's almost Christmas anyway. All my siblings got stuff for both )
It's all about the MONEY. Some stores never make profits without their Christmas, excuse me "the holidays" sales. It's all commercialism, just like Linus said about Snoopy. I hate how the stores and almost all commercials have to have tingling jingling bells in the background, like it's some kind of subliminal message to go spend spend spend! Fake snowflakes and people in red, too. Sadly, it works, even in places where we know there will be no snow for Christmas. (I've had one white Christmas my entire life) I am sorry to say, I am fed up with this and would be happy if 'the holidays' skipped a year. But I have little kids, so I have to play along
They're been playing Christmas music where i work since the day after Halloween + customers make me homicidal
My birthday is on the 19th so it is impossible for me to avoid christmas stuff, my presents are usually wrapped in Christmas paper and people have already gone out of town
