google talk

So I see google has moved into the IM arena.

I just downloaded this. Is anyone here using this and if so, what do you think about it?

I use it. I love it.

Its much less dramatic then Yahoo or MSN or AIM. Its simple, straight-forward chat. No news popping up all over the place, no adds, etc.

You can format it as you please but the basic program is so clean and easy.

Edit to say that one of the reasons I love this program so much is that it doesn't take over your computer. It hides easily and doesn't lock up slow computers. Its very unobtrusive.

I'm chatting in it right now. The thing that is great is how the messages pop up when you are typing or doing really anything else....it doesnt interupt....it just shows the message in the bottom right hand side of your screen....sort of like Outlook 20005.

I don't like MSN IM service all that much. AIM is bothering me because of the ads that play out of nowhere therefore I am hardly using it.
.

Yahoo is starting to become my primary IM because of the lack of ads
So if some of my invites accept my invite I will test it out and see if I want to start using it as my primary IM service.

Has anyone actually called a computer with their IM?
