Blue Crack Addict
Today is the first day, for what is probably gonna be the biggest celebrity trial of the century, and likely to last for a good few months. All eyes will be on this case, from the 'gossip-hungry' media, to the most loyal of Jacksons fans.
Michael Jackson was a huge idol of mine in the early 90's, and I very much still enjoy listening to him today.
I strongly believe he is innocent of the charges he is facing. That of Child Molestation.
I of course, am not ignorant enough to say that he should be allowed to sleep in the same bed as a minor, and I do fully expect, that if he is at the end of this trial, acquitted and vindicated, then the people closest to Michael, his family and advisors in particular, will make sure that, in his own words "he never allows himself to be put in such a vulnerable position again".
The 1st and most important way of ensuring this, would be the closure of his park in his Neverland home. It would be something he himself wouldn't like to see happen, but keeping the ranch entirely for him, and no outsiders would be a huge step in the right direction.
It's not admitting any guilt, as (hopefully) he would have been found not guilty. It would just be the right thing to do, so there is no way anyone can have even the smallest thing to say against him.
I really do feel that Jackson's childhood, or the little of it he had, plays a huge part of how he is today.
Not being around ppl his own age when growing up, and going though the things other children were, plus having the kind of dominating father at home, effected him greatly as he grew older and became an adult. So much so, that he realised he prefered to be in the company of children, and be able to see them enjoy things in their youth, the way he was never able to.
He grew up in a very small home in Indiana, where he was made to share a bed with his brother(s).
This could go a little way in explaining why Michael thinks it is ok in sharing his bed with a minor.
Of course, it is not. No matter WHO you are. But being as naive, as I believe he is, he thinks there is nothing wrong with this, "the most loving that you can do with somebody".
I will be following the trial as closely as I can, and will be hoping for the verdict that I think in my heart is correct.
Thanks for reading - and post your comments here too, good or bad - i'm not easily offended.
