Brau, I love your Springsteen picks, 'specially Tenth Avenue Freeze Out. Such a great "wedding song" I'm sure.

I like that you have the Benny Hill theme song in there. :)

you fool!!!
you've forgotten 'dancing in the moonlight' by king harvest?! 'rich girl' by hall and oates?! and no madonna?! no prince 'controversy' or 'let's go crazy' or 'raspberry beret'?!?!?

and where's the tool?!?!?!

i may have to protest this wedding...:madspit:

Yeah. Benny Hill was a late addition. Wine may have helped it.

Dudeman, we thought about walking out to NWO by Ministry. Actually, I thought about it. When the idea was presented to Che, laser beams shot from he eyes, and blew up my head.

If you don't mind slower numbers, REM's At My Most Beautiful is perfect! One of my friend's friends had it played at his wedding and I heard the moment was simply amazing.

I read bad poetry
into your machine
I save your messages
just to hear your voice.
you always listen carefully
to awkward rhymes.
you always say your name.
like I wouldn't know it's you,
at your most beautiful.

That's an impressive list of songs!

I can't imagine our reception without Etta James chiming in... but your list helps us out, we're in the middle of choosing songs as well.

...I'm a huge R.E.M. fan and that song never came to mind, thanks!

My friends had this Cure song ("Halo", a B-side to "Friday I'm In Love") as their wedding song and I thought the lyrics were great for a wedding. Plus, it's just a great song all around.

It might not be every couple's cup of tea, but:

I never felt like this with anyone before
you only have to smile and I'm dizzy
you make the world go round
a thousand times an hour
just touch my head
and send me spinning

I never felt like this with anyone before
you show me colours and I'm crying
you hold my eyes in yours
and open up the world
i can't believe all of this

i want to keep this feeling
deep inside of me
i want you always in my heart
you are everything

i never felt like this with anyone before
you fill my head full of rainbows
and all the rainbows end
is every step you take
just to be with you forever

i want to keep this feeling
deep inside of me
i want you always in my heart
you are everything

you're missing some Elvis Costello
I think after we were married and walked back down the aisle, our friend was playing piano, and I believe it was one of my favorites: (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace Love & Understanding

You got a lot of songs on that list there!

I wanna go just to hear all that music.

I was at a wedding last night in Manhattan and the birde/groom came out to Beautiful Day.

I like the NWO by Minisrty idea:drool:

Nice list. I'm doing a wedding in 2 months in which I'm in charge of the music. Always fun to create a weddings setlist. I spent 2 months coming up with mine.
