It's a great 90's song, but it's not blow-my-mind away amazing. It's become synonymous with City of Angels for me at this point.

I have an acoustic version of this song that I can share with you. It's much shorter than the regular version. (Sorry, I'm not familiar with The Goo Goo Dolls and aside from this song, I'd rather not be.)

The song is severely overplayed, but it's a pretty damn good pop song. I also read somewhere that Johnny Reznik wrote it immediately after seeing the movie...pretty impressive.

ie, identical to Stay.

Well there are times when I feel like listening to 'Iris' and I'll bloody listen to it.

I mean, sure, it probably is the epitome of wallpaper music, but sometimes I'm in the wallpaper music mood.

I appreciate the song, it is very good, but it's just SO depressing. I have to be in the mood to listen to it.

Yertle - I guess what I am asking is - why will you bloody listen to it?

COBl- What mood do you have to be in to listen to it?

babyman - What about it is emotional to you and what resonates with you?

I'll be a total geek and say that this song just ooozes Remus Lupin from Harry Potter. Especially in regards to the last book.
