Here's to hoping The Office and Little Miss Sunshine sweep

Mirren and Whitaker are shoo-ins, as are DiCaprio, The Departed, and Jennifer Hudson.

atleast IMO.

that was interesting reading, thanks for posting those Lila!
I'm hoping to see Little Miss Sunshine win several awards, and it'd be awesome to see Michael C. Hall win for Dexter, and Lost for best drama!

Has anyone here seen The Last King Of Scotland?

I have a feeling Babel will beat The Departed, I think Departed should win. Bobby doesn't belong there, sorry. I enjoyed it, but there has to be something better than that that deserves a nomination. I remember when the Golden Globes were considered to be a joke, now people take them seriously.

I'm pulling for LOST, Little Miss Sunshine, and The Departed. And all those connected to them.

i know!

it's, like, 35 foreign journalists/tabloid editors who vote and if nicole kidman is nominated she automatically wins.

Zach Braff is great on Scrubs, but he hasn't been acknowledged by the voters now, and he won't be.

It'll either be Tony Shalhoub or Steve Carell.

The Office or Earl will win best comedy, hopefully The Office.

It seems like several actors have a "lock" on their categories this year. While i'm sure they are all deserving, I hate it when there's no surprises, so I'm gonna root for the underdogs... Leo, Kate... But i do want Jennifer Hudson to win!

Can't wait to see the fashions! It starts soon!

I saw The Last King of Scotland a few months ago. Whitaker was amazing (still haven't seen Venus, so I can't say how he compares to O'Toole, who seems to be his only major competition). Forget being on the edge of your seat, when the movie finally ended I was shocked at just how hard I had shoved myself back into my seat. It was the most physically tense I've been at a movie in a long time.
