It had a theatrical release in the U.K. and Australia, but was shown in the U.S. first on HBO, thereby disqualifying Rush from Academy Award consideration -- a situation that Rush says lends a "schizophrenic quality" to his assignment. In an interview with the Sydney Daily Telegraph, Rush, remarked that he is not disappointed at being eliminated from the Oscar contest: "In American cinemas, it may reach that ceiling where it doesn't become huge, whereas in the six weeks it plays on HBO it might play to 50 to 80 million people, which is Spider-Man figures," he said.

She's 5'10 and currently weighs 112, IIRC.

Her sister is a tv star over here and shes tall and skinny too.

Nicole didnt used to be that skinny. Nor did Elle MacPherson for that matter. So its not genetic.

If Nicole is 5'10 then Tom must be about 6'5 judging by that photo.

Props to Leonardo Dicaprio. He was the only one, besides Bill Clinton, to bring up the tsunami.

I could only take it in small doses, but I admit I like looking at the outfits. The winners weren't all that surprising

None really knocked my socks off, but I thought Cate Blanchett, Halle Berry, and Diane Lane looked gorgeous. Hilary Swank can wear gowns so well, the color of hers really stood out. Also Joely Richardson, who wore a replica of a Princess Diana dress.

Natalie Portman is so beautiful, but her outfit didn't flatter her that much imho. She could wear a trash bag and still look great though..

Johnny Depp-such a handsome man, why Johnny, why?

I didn't get a good look at Nicole, I think her dress was emerald green.

Sideways won for comedy/musical

I wish Million Dollar Baby had gotten drama. I thought Aviator was good but not that good. At least Clint got director.

Nicole Kidman seemed to have ripped out the feathered tail of a peacock and stuck it on one of her boobs.

The best moment was when Mick Jagger won his thing and he went on stage and did his speech. He rocked! Desperate Housewifes are HOT women!

Robin Williams' speech was great also!

I liked it too. Overall most of the dresses were tasteful.
