^ you know that part right above the bridge, where the strings go up? if you pick the string right there, you'll get the sound.

i'm just getting used to using one, i've never played before

i want to try Elevation, but Edge uses a foot pedal thing

^^ elevation is a good song to learn, but that intro is pretty hard to copy effects-wise. the rest of the song is great though.

i'm using that Guitar Pro software at the moment, because it shows me where to place my fingers.
plus i get to hear how it sounds too through the software

^^true but on a strat you have very little raise between the frets and strings, ona LP you have more distance
