:lol:

its wierd how the PS2 is out selling Xbox360 by nearly 20,000 units.
is it because of the price of the Xbox or are people waiting for PS3 :hmm: i know i am, its just the price of the PS3 that's :yikes:!!!

I'm never really sure where those numbers come from, as they are always quite misleading and seem to be quite off from hardware and software sales I see other places (at least the weekly numbers don't see to match the month end numbers). Here are the July end numbers I've seen in a few places, which seem different (and far more accurate considering the 360 has sold over 5 million units world wide already):

July Hardware Sales

NDS = 377,000
PS2 = 241,000
360 = 206,000
GBA = 163,000
PSP = 161,000
GCN = 44,000
Xbox = 12,000

Overall hardware sales were up 25% y/y counting current and next gen consoles and handheld sales. 128-bit hardware sales were down 33% y/y in July. PS2 unit sales were down 22% y/y, GCN down 13% and Xbox down 47%. This brings the install base of 128-bit consoles to approximately 60 million in the U.S. The Xbox 360 sold 207K units versus 277K in June, with a strong life-to-date tie ratio of 4.61. Combined Xbox and Xbox 360 software increased 44% y/y. We expect Xbox 360 hardware sales to pick up in August with the release of EA’s Madden NFL 2007.

On a side note, why hasn't this thread also been moved to the electronics section like the thread on Xbox Live was?

It looks as though the Wii will be out just in time for Christmas! I doubt I'll get one right away, but might rent one to try it out.

Lately I've been playing an oldschool game called Rogue. Dungeons and searching and such.. quite addictive.

That's because you're posting the NDP numbers that are monthly for U.S.

The numbers you are fishy about are Media Create which reports Japan only numbers, weekly. That's why they are so different.

I try and post both when I find them but I haven't been on Interference lately, so I can't.

So, there is no Mario game on the launch list for the Wii? What is the world coming to? The Nintendo I grew up with would never release a system without a Mario launch title.

Will the Wii be wireless network compatible?

The Wii will bii (hur hur hur) wireless out of the box. It will come "installed" so to speak, with the Wii Channels mentioned where you can make your own custom character, view weather, and news, as well as much more. The Opera Internet Browser will also be free to use until June 2007.

Check it out here! Wii.com

Yes, Unfortunately not only is Super Mario Galaxy a 2007 title, (although we have known this for a while) Metroid Prime 3 has been delayed until early 2007. In addition, the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess will not be released until the 11th of December.

:drool: i'll probably get the new zelda game and a bunch of the virtual console games.

the colour choices makes me sad though :(

I didn't know you liked Zelda games.

I agree though. I really don't think I'll be purchasing any of the VC games yet though because they are all pretty basic. Most of what is being put out at launch can be got off collector's discs (Sonic, Zelda) or found in GBA remakes (Super Mario)

i only own the first one :lol: but nothing else being released sounds interesting.

i will only cuz i'm lazy and if i buy them, then i can put away my nes. plus, i never bought an snes or n64 so a lot of those games i either haven't played in a while (i knew people who owned them of course) or have never played.

That game made me loopy. I was so glad when I completed it, so I wouldn't have to play it again. So many time changes :scary:

I loved every second. So innovative. Alot of people hated the time aspect, like Wind Wakers sailing. I thought it was super fun.

500 posts. See ya next thread Gaming Pals :wave:

That being said, I'll likely play it again to try and go through all the stuff I missed the first time through.

I can't wait for Twilight Princess. And there are so many old NES games that I adored. Red Baron, Little Nemo.. should be great :yes:

Especially since my SNES croaked recently :cry:
