Well that's it. E3 2006 is officially over :( Now the long wait until Tokyo Game Show which will be held obviously in Japan from September 22-24. I of course will be giving all the up-to-date shocking announcements until then. It was fun! Here's some more random things I found.

-Some Elebits gameplay. I didn't know anything about this game and what it was like, but now we know. Pretty interesting. Obviously will use the Wiimote heavily

lol@ Sony rep's disgust

Haven't heard much news since E3, as is always the case since all the big stuff has been unwrapped. Here are a few things found about the gaming world

News:

*PS3 confusion is cleared up, but it means gamers may need to buy the more expensive model regardless of options
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/14/clearing-up-some-ps3-confusion/

*A nice little chat with Izumi K. The head of Sony's software department. Alot of information about the PS3, straight from the big cheese's mouth
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/708/708601p1.html

*To compliment the MGS4 trailer here is a video interview with Hideo Kojima about his bread and butter
http://www.gamespot.com/pages/video_player/popup.php?sid=6151050&pid=926596&rgroup=e32006_story

Thanks for the news man....the E3 gamers video with them running was hilarious, the Sony guys did look amused.

It also made me realise how sad us gamers are:wink:

Come on Kojima, release ZOE3:mad:

Alright now that I got some PS3 news down heres some Nintendo stuff to balance it out

News:

*Wii Twilight Princess demo running on Gamecube hardware?

http://img477.imageshack.us/img477/1658/bscap00007dl.jpg
http://luigicube10.free.fr/HFR/bscap00007dl.jpg
http://perfect-zelda.net/images_news/gcwii.jpg

*A very casual interview with Nintendo's Perrin Kaplan, as she discusses Wii info with IGN's "Matty" on the E3 showroom floor... LITERALLY
http://media.revolution.ign.com/articles/708/708093/vids_1.html

*Great news for Nintendo as analysts respond to the E3 conferences. Can Sony catch up to the big N?
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6150398.html

Obviously Sony in all likelyness will be the frontrunner in the next generation, but expect Nintendo to take a huge chunk out of the market share. Wii looks to be on track to selling much more than Gamecube. Also that IGN interview with Perrin really leaves alot of knots untied. Another hardware secret to reveal? Iwata: "You will say, WOW!"

Speaking of PS3, has anyone seen the trailer for "Final Fantasy XIII"?

http://www.square-enix.co.jp/e306/titles/fabula/ff13/e3trailer.html
http://www.ffinsider.net/final-fantasy-13/ff13-trailers.php

FFXII isn't even in North America yet, and here I am drooling over this.

Even crazier still, they've already confirmed a sequel to FFXIII for PS3.

http://na.square-enix.com/e306/titles/fabula/versus/

Looking at the trailer, I think the FF7 fanboys might love this installment. But they are, after all, notoriously impossible to please.

Not only is there a Final Fantasy XIII and Versus as Melon said, but a mobile phone spinoff too! All three games are linked and being referred to as "Fabula Nova Crystallis". Square Enix fanboys rejoice!

Yeah, I knew about the mobile phone FFXIII game, but I doubt many people will ever play it. It strikes me as kind of a gimmick. However, two full-blown PS3 games more than makes up for it!

Well here it is Final Fantasy fanboys/girls, the moment many of you have been waiting for since 1997...

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i31/Badonez4life/img048.jpg (Bottom middle)

Text: "Last year Square Enix teased everyone with what it called the "FFVII PS3 Tech Demo" Well, what do you know; This test case was really a sneak peak at a next-gen revival of the PS1 role-playing hit."

Could it be true? :hmm:

In my view, no. N64 had a tech demo with the characters of FFVI (before Square officially defected to PS), and nothing ever came out of that. I think the FFVII demo likely occurred due to the work they did on "Advent Children," so it didn't take a hell of a lot more work when they already had the character models.

But then I see that article. How very interesting. :hmm:

Here you go UK gaming pals. Some official news on prices and release dates for ya

http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/18/uk-playstation-3-comes-in-at-425-sony-loses-its-marbles/

most interesting notes is that UK may possibly be FORCED to buy the 60GB package because the 20GB could not be available. It is £425, I think that comes to $800 US. UK gamers usually pay more for most gaming hardware and software in addition to getting them later than the rest of the world. What do ya think?

Media Create Hardware sales for this week of May

http://www.m-create.com/jpn/s_ranking.html

1.) Nintendo DS Lite - 91,895
2.) PSP - 27,127
3.) PS2 - 21,138
4.) GBA SP - 6,317

7.) Xbox 360 - 1,355
8.) Gamecube - 1,069
9.) Gameboy Advance - 40
10.) Xbox - 36

The race heats up between the GBA and Xbox! :lmao:

We usually pay more for everything:happy:

It just further cements I will probably get a Wii long before a PS3.

I just bought Jade Empire a couple days ago.

Freaking amazing game. It's basically like taking everything that was good about KOTOR, refining that and throwing out the bad. Plus it's martial arts. You cannot resist it's kung fu. :D

Here's a very long article about how the Wii and FFXIII, amongst other things, are perceived in Japan:

http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3047&Itemid=2

It's quite interesting. It should be no surprise that there's scant to no mention of XBox 360 in Japan, mainly because the console has been a failure there. The Japanese market is very particular about the kinds of games they play, and XBox 360--just like the XBox before it--flat out doesn't have the kinds of developers who create them.

I read this in all the little tibits you posted.:

LOS ANGELES--World of Warcraft has been rumored to be jumping platforms to the Xbox 360 for some time, but if The New York Times is correct, the next jump it makes will instead be to the world of film.

The Times is reporting that Blizzard will announce Tuesday that its massively successful, massively multiplayer online role-playing game is set to be made into a big-budget fantasy picture along the lines of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings films, with Warner Bros.' Legendary Pictures handling the production.

Director, cast, release date, and budget are all undetermined as of yet, but the paper quotes Blizzard CEO Paul Sams as saying that the goal is to make "one of the best films in the world," a World of Warcraft pic that will appeal to gamers and nongamers alike. He said Legendary Pictures management was keenly attuned to what Blizzard wanted out of a World of Warcraft film. Legendary's first film was Batman Begins. Other projects being brought to the big screen by Legendary Pictures include Superman Returns, The Ant Bully, Where the Wild Things Are, and Frank Miller's 300.

I love this game and I hope they don't do this. I cannot imagine how they would make this game into a movie.
All the other games they made into movies have failed big time on the screen. I can't see this one doing any better.

Then again maybe they will put my characters up on the big screen.

Can't wait for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade to come out. Only 6 more months left. :D
