Makes me glad I've not come across or listened to that demo version of Twilight that y'all talk about heaps.

U-Wen, I think every song on Phail's version of October needs an early Trip Through Your Wires snippet.

Gloria, in te domine!
Gloria, in this town!

Julie says, John I'm getting nowhere in this town

I was talking
I was talking to myself
Somebody else, talk talk talking
In this town

Inside a child on the ground
Says he'll do it again in this town

They knock me to the ground in this town

Won't you be back in this town?

October, and the trees are stripped bare in this town

To the side of a hill
Blood was spilt in this town

He looked at me like I was the one who should run in this town

Rejoice, rejoice, in this town

I'm happy, I'm not happy with you in this town

Now, should I watch Iron Man again, or should I go watch the Stones movie? I have a free ticket and I intend to use it...

Oh goodness yes. We'd be the only ones who'd get it, but still hell yes.

Oh, it seems you lot have been having a sing-a-long, would you not mind if I join?

How about neither? Both look like suckage.

Nah, Iron Man's great fun for pure escapism. On the other hand, the Stones film has got music in it. :hmm:

And I've already watched Indy, so that's not an option, especially cause it has no free tickets :madspit:

Iron Man has a stupid title. And, well, the Stones movie has BAD music in it.

Indy? Oh, Indiana Jones? I couldn't care less.

We should get pissed in July and walk down Swanston Street singing this.

Or, you know, maybe not. But it's a funny thought.

I like it, let's do it. I'll of course have a weapon on me, so we'll be right, and even if I don't, you'll have your carbon fibre cane!

You're really not an 80s kid at all, are you?

Which reminds me, have you read V for Vendetta? And I say read, not watched, for a very good reason.

If I'm not grossly mistaken, the first series of Thomas The Tank Engine narrated by Ringo Starr was 1989. Is that good enough?

And no. It's a graphic novel, right? You aren't getting me to read one of those in a hurry.

Well, I'll try, then have a crisis of conscience just before I get over the line, most probably. It takes a fair bit to get me over anyway, at least by Asian standards and as far as I know (which doesn't really mean much or anything).

I like the movie!

But I'd love to read it some time.

damn this was supposed to quote maj on v for vendetta

You'd actually probably quite like the themes in it. Anarchy, death, destruction, overthrow of a tyrannical government... Graphic novels aren't exactly literature to be true, but they are a pretty powerful medium, I'd say.

And yes, Ringo Starr was correct. Which is why I suggested we snippet Beautiful Day with "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Blackbird", "Here Comes The Sun" and "Theme from Thomas the Tank Engine", so we have a representation from all four Beatles! (unless I'm mistaken about Blackbird - I don't really care much about the Beatles to be honest)

 See, I'd have a crisis of wallet, being a stingy bastard.

Plus I know it takes a fair bit to get me close to drunk. Unless I drink fast, like last night, when I was most certainly tipsy for a short period!

I should really read the graphic novel, but it's pretty long and I don't really like the artwork that much. Maybe I need to look at it again. I've read parts of it that I've enjoyed.

You know how people like PFan go on about death growls? In my view, graphic novels are to books what death growls are to singing for PFan. I don't see why it's simply not a proper book, because it sounds like it'd be interesting.
