orange kitty & Felix

Sicy - I'll tell hubby about the stuff too. Thing is, he doesn't go outside, but he does go in the garage, where he does find crickets to play with. Not surprised there could be a few fleas coming in thru there I guess. Don't know where else they'd be coming from...

Well something's wrong with Chloe again.

During the night the few times she was on by bed she was digging at her rear with her front paws (again), at one point I simply reached out my hand to pet her or let her lick me and she jumped off and ran away.

This morning she came bursting into my room and dove under my bed and she doesn't want to be bothered. There is also a dump that she left on the dining room carpet.

Something is wrong again. She had been fine for so long, eating her medicine every day, using the litterbox with no problems, acting like herself. Now she's back to her old routine and we really don't want to have to take her back to the vet.

I just wanted to share a story. My husband, my daughter and I went to a neighboring city Tuesday night for the fireworks. We were walking around town and kept seeing these posters for a lost cat. Everytime I saw one I felt so sad because I know exactly what it feels like to have a cat not come home. Anyway we were walking around in an old cemetary killing time before the fireworks and I see this kitty come out of a bush! It comes straight for me so I go over and pet it. It was really friendly. I then thought it might be the lost cat because it looked sorta like the picture. My husband ran back up the street to grab one of the posters and we compared it. It was the same cat! He used his cell phone to call the people and they came right over. I had to keep the cat amused for a while so it wouldn't run off. A lady and her two teenaged kids came running over to get the kitty. They were so happy! I was so happy I almost cried! HA!!

What a great story!

I hate seeing those posters around my neighborhood because 9 times out of 10 you know something bad has happened.

It's nice to hear one that turned out for the best.

Need some advice.

Zooropa's litter box is kept in the back room on the way to the bathroom.
But for some reasone he just walks past it and leaves little presents on the bathroom floor.

He never used to do that when we got him, but for the past few weeks he's been doing it.

How can we stop him?

How old is he and how often do you clean the box?

yep, just him in the house.

we have a dog too, but that's no bother because sometimes he sits near the dog.

the litterbox is kept near where the dog lives, but out of reach.
i dont think the cat has a problem pooping while the dog is watching

Probably not...

Have you recently moved the box?

Normally when they poop outside the box it's because they are unhappy with something or marking their territory...

It can be something as simple as changing his litter to something he doesn't like or I have read that if they get frightened when using the box (possibly by the dog) they may associate the box with the scare...
