When we got Ferg, he was emaciated and full of fleas. Once he was safe inside and started eating regularly, he got BIG! He's about twice her size--he's huge and all muscle! Once in a while, he will jump on her and flip her over on her back and slide her across the floor. But she comes up hissing and spitting, and smacks him. That's my girl!

My Maxwell went to the vet today for a blood pressure check up and it's the best reading they've ever gotten from him! Yay!

I was kinda wondering last night when I got his pills ready for him -- I press them into a treat the vet sells that he absolutely adores -- and he didn't want to take them. So here I was following the cat around the house saying "take your damned pills, Max!" And of course I had a whole string of other cats following us around going "hey! give that to me. I'll eat it!"

Arrgghh!

Good thing they didn't check my blood pressure.

Yeah it was the first I'd ever heard of it too. Sometimes I still think it's just another evil vet plot to separate me and my money. But I like old Max, so.... And generally he really likes the treats I use to give him his pills, so it's not usually a problem. It was just that night before his BP check. Cats.
