Ah, cool. Let me know if you come down. It would be cool to catch up.

I'm still so tempted to get tickets to Melbourne II. If it weren't looking so good for Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater to FINALLY come down here, I'd do it. Hell, even with that considered, I'd probably do it if I liked Time On Earth even half as much as I like the debut, Together Alone, and Afterglow.

Auckland & co looked pretty tempting when Supergroove where added as support don't you think.
I'll be honest with you: I haven't the faintest clue what Supergroove sound like.

I see the Melbourne opener is Augie March. A few of my friends love them. Guess I'll have to download some albums.

I can't think of a better present for a kiddies birthday than a nice Crowded House ticket. But I'm sure in LA you'll have more than a few dozen times to catch them in the next year or so.

Did you catch the Ghostwriters on the Live Earth stream. Great cover (????) of When The General's Talk.
The kid ain't interested
The club thing would have been incredibly cool, cuz it the Troubadour only holds a few hundred, smaller than the Glass House show we caught back in April (the one you linked with the Rage cover ).

I don't know that Oils song, but we were watching the stream, and when they announced the band and said Rob Hurst, I did a double take, and hubby was sitting here with me. 'When The General's Talk' came on, hubby recognized it instantly. I'm not familiar with that song though. Nice to Peter announcing Crowded House, though I would much rather have had him perform!

If you like them (or any band) that much and can afford to attend a second show, just do it. You don't want to regret it later. You only live once

L.A. is really only getting one show at the Greek Theater. There are apparently a handful of U.S. club dates this month, and one does happen to be in L.A. Oh well, sorry Khanada. Come in August and we can attend together

Tim Tam!!!!

So Syd and Melb have got second shows already? We're still on the one, but I managed to get 2 lots of seats on presale and on regular sale. I shall of course be using for myself the better floor ones...

To Be Honest I find them boring, their big JJJ hit for last year "One Crowded Hour" is a pretty good song....the rest just don't go down well.....thats to me.

1. Recurring Dream

3. Anyone Can Tell
4. Fingers Of Love
5. When You Come / Mean To Me / World Where You Live (I can't separate them, though if you forced me to pick, I'd currently take When You Come)

Here's a fun idea: rank all of them! It's not as hard as U2. I'm excluding Time On Earth, as I've only played it all the way once - and I had to stop and take a break before A Sigh too. I'm also excluding the alternate Private Universe on Afterglow. And I know I Walk Away is a cover, but to hell with it, I'm putting it on my list anyway.

1. Recurring Dream
2. Kare Kare
3. Anyone Can Tell
4. Fingers Of Love
5. When You Come
6. Mean To Me
7. World Where You Live
8. Distant Sun
9. Private Universe
10. There Goes God
11. Now We're Getting Somewhere
12. Don't Dream It's Over
13. I Walk Away
14. Four Seasons In One Day
15. I Feel Possessed
16. Better Be Home Soon
17. Tombstone
18. Hole In The River
19. Can't Carry On
20. Nails In My Feet
21. Sister Madly
22. In My Command
23. Chocolate Cake
24. Instinct
25. I Am In Love
26. Fame Is
27. Tall Trees
28. Locked Out
29. Skin Feeling
30. Sacred Cow
31. Black And White Boy
32. Weather With You
33. Time Immemorial
34. In The Lowlands
35. Never Be The Same
36. Everything Is Good For You
37. Together Alone
38. Something So Strong
39. Kill Eye
40. How Will You Go
41. Catherine Wheels
42. That's What I Call Love
43. Love This Life
44. You Can Touch
45. Walking On The Spot
46. Left Hand
47. Love You 'Til The Day I Die
48. Help Is Coming
49. Dr Livingstone
50. It's Only Natural
51. Mansion In The Slums
52. I Love You Dawn
53. Fall At Your Feet
54. She Goes On
55. Lester
56. My Telly's Gone Bung
57. Pineapple Head
58. Whispers And Moans
59. All I Ask
60. Italian Plastic
61. Not The Girl You Think You Are
62. As Sure As I Am

Everything from about #50 sucks. #55 is somewhat redeemed by its quirkiness though.
