WOW!! What a great show that was Friday nite at the 930 Club... First time for me seeing CH and I knew I was in for something special. The guys were in fine form and bantering a bit with the audience and each other which was fun.. Lots of huge sing al longs with the audience singing most of the songs. What fun that was.! Neil even commented how well we sang. I wish U2 would be this spontaneous meaning taking song requests from the audience, playing obscure songs etc.. Any crowdie will tell you thats their style.. I this a lot.. They all looked great and in fine health. One thing tho, they ARE SO TINY! Except for the drummer, Matt.
I managed to get front row rail right in front of Mark Hart. I got a setlist but that's it. I was thinking of meeting them afterwards but needed to get a friend to the metro.

Here are a few pics I took.. (bear with me still figuring out this new camera

ugh...grainy.. think my iso was too high..

I saw them last Monday at Irving Plaza here in NYC and I have to say that they were even better than I thought they'd be! Neil said we sang nice too, U2Fanatic. (we did!) I shot some vids...

I just use my Canon Powershot SD600 point and shoot camera, video works way better for me in concerts than photos (although it takes great photos of scenery ), and the video picture quality on this is very good. Sound quality does vary depending on the music, sound mix in the venue and my position, although it's almost always at least listenable - the Crowded House ones came out pretty good soundwise!

I must be seriously out of the loop - what on earth are these songs?

Ian McCulloch the U2 fan:
"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."
