 This guy is awesome. Any friend of Ryan's.... :D

I guess the VA date is closest to me... I"ll look into that.

I seriously can't stop listening to his cover of "Questioningly," and "Brooklyn"

In the same vein....Joseph Arthur is awesome too.

Who's Jesse touring with?

So far, I haven't heard of any other acts being with him...except for that one gig at the Bowery Ballroom with Leona Naess (Ryan's girlfriend).

Ryan posted on his own message board a couple times, saying that he was considering playing guitar with Jesse on this tour. Nothing has been confirmed though...it probably isn't going to happen.

to Joseph Arthur. "History"

The venue in Arlington is really close to the Clarendon Metro (about two blocks). It's a decent area too -- one that I wouldn't be scared to walk to alone at night, unlike the 9:30 Club. Usually when people play there, a local act opens for them. In case of Neil Halstead, this meant some extremely untalented guy that I felt sorry for because his music was so bad.

Yay! We DO need to go. It's usually only around $10 to see a show there too.

As of today, you can now download Jesse Malin's video for "Queen of the Underwold" from his web site:

http://www.jessemalin.com/freestuff.html

Fun Facts:

It's been discovered that the phone number at the end of the video is for Niagara, the bar Jesse owns in NYC. Niagara is also where Ryan Adams had his art gallery showing. One of Ryan's paintings is hanging on the wall in the room where Jesse is playing.

Tell your friend to let people under 21 into shows if they're foreign.
