Death metal, I'm sorry, is horrible, horrible music.

I will listen to pretty much everything except bubblegum pop and death metal. The two extremes.

And you already know that I think you're a bit ignorant on this and haven't a fucking clue what you're talking about. I mean, you thought The Cure were emo until yesterday. That says it all.

Now, sure, death metal isn't for everyone. Indeed, it isn't for the majority of people. The aesthetic is an acquired taste and I tend to dislike a lot of it (I primarily enjoy tech death, e.g. Cynic, and progressive death, e.g. Opeth). I'm more an atmospheric metal guy. But you just sound ignorant when you go off on it. Especially now. I mean, it's like you just had to grab any random chance to take a swing at it. Don't take this the wrong way, because I like you, but your posts on this topic have just started to irk me a bit.

i agree with you and jen. but i listened to a few of their songs once in a while.


i just cannot stand the genre, no one will EVER turn me around.

i would rather put elevation/aboy/vertigo/love rescue me on repeat then listen to one death metal song.

Well, I'm sure there are things in your CD collection that I would consider too heavy, but I like a lot of songs that are heavier than anything U2's done, I think...

This reminds me of when Daniel and I discovered that Friends Are Evil by Jesu was too heavy for my Mac!

It's one of the heaviest songs I know, so I played it for him when he came over last month and the computer froze up.
