So what non-U2 album do you guys think is the best, I go for Whats The Story Morning Glory- Oasis, got me into Rock musc, so it can get thre credit for me liking U2.

Somewhere between:

"Loveless" by My Bloody Valentine

or

"Closer" by Joy Division

Melon

I don't know anymore. I have too many favorites. Probably Radiohead's Kid A. Or Ok Computer on a different day.

Hmm. Tough one. Right now, it would probably be one of these three:

Elliott Smith - From a Basement Under the Hill

David Bowie - Low

Third Eye Blind - Third Eye Blind (Bite me )

Oh, and as mentioned earlier in the thread, Joy Division's "Closer" isn't a bad album, either. Just a tad too depressing to be one of my favorites.

The Eric Stuart Band - Blue Dressed In Black
Green Day - Warning
The Offspring - Smash
You've Come A Long Way Bay - Fatboy Slim

There should be more but I can't put my finger to it for now...

One of these:

Jeff Buckley - Grace
Marvin Gaye- What's Going On
Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run
Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the Edge of Town

:hmm: Depends on my mood.... but these are the ones I come back to time & again.

B-52's - Cosmic Thing
Cyndi Lauper - She's So Unusual
The Cult - High Octance Cult
Hole - Celebrity Skin
Gerry Rafferty - City to City ( <-- doubt anyone under 35 has ever even heard of this guy!!)
And finally, one of my new faves (a birthday gift this year):
Depeche Mode - The Singles, 86-98

Priest = Aura and After Everything Now This by The Church are always at the top.

right now I have 3 or 4 candidates

- Morning Glory - Oasis
- Division Bell - Pink Floyd
- Jar of flies - Alice in Chains
- OKC - Radiohead..
- lightbulb sun - Porcupine Tree

if you push me at this time..I will probably go for JAR OF FLIES :)

Hi Irishteen

Welcome to Interference. It won't take you long to work your way around the forums. This forum here, Free Your Mind, is usually for discussion of current events, etc.

Theres another forum over in Lemonaid Stand called The Bang and The Clatter which is where the non U2 musical discussion is held.

As for your question, today my favourite album is Avalon by Roxy Music but this is subject to change. lol.

(What's The Story) Morning Glory? - Oasis
Dirt - Alice in Chains
In My Tribe - 10,000 Maniacs
Anything by Collective Soul, Foo Fighters
Pure Cult - The Cult
Rio - Duran Duran
Version 2.0 - Garbage

etc etc etc
Sorry couldn't list just one
