My father is just as big a fan of Van Morrison as I am of U2. It's almost like the soundtrack of his life. Domino and Moondance are pretty good...I often wonder about giving the rest a good listen to see if I'd become a bigger fan.

I've also heard he can be grumpy at best, an asshole at worst...but like you said he's a great great songwriter and some of his live audio that I've heard is really good.
