Hoosiers is great

But so are these:

Bull Durham
Breaking Away
Pride Of The Yankees

Almost as great:

Bend It Like Beckham
Bang The Drum Slowly
Brian's Song

I still have not seen Miracle or Ali

Happy Gilmore is a guilty pleasure

I have not read his column in so long. Used to read it religously.

Ping Pong.

It's Japanese.

Most worthwhile 5 straight days of downloading ever.

Consider this post to be a preemptive bitch-slapping for anyone who says they liked "Fever Pitch".

Here are my 10 favorite sports related films, in no particular order. Some capture the realism of sports, some were just good stories.

Raging Bull
The Natural
Hoosiers
Bull Durham
Bang the Drum Slowly
Field of Dreams
Slapshot
Breaking Away
Caddyshack
Rocky III (I know it sucks, but Mr. T's performance is so bad that it's good. "Prediction??......Pain")

Deniro's best performance, IMO

RUDY!

Well that's not my favorite, I just like yelling RUDY!

My favorite: Cool Runnings.

Runners up:
Field Of Dreams
Rudy
Miracle
Major League

I was also a fan of those kid baseball comedies from the early 1990s: Rookie Of The Year, Little Big League, and Angels In The Outfield

Actually, I was part of a cheering crowd during Rookie Of The Year. They filmed it during the middle of a doubleheader at Wrigley Field.
