Isn't it "I get knocked down"?

Oh my vote is totally for "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles. Its a perfect pop song.

oooh I have many... I'll give mny top 3..... is anyone noticing that most of peoples favorites are from the 80s? Thats cause 80s music was cool, lol :)

The Saftey Dance- Men Without Hats
500 miles- The Proclaimers
99 luftballoons- Nena

biz markie - just a friend
johnny hates jazz - shattered dreams
spandau ballet - true (they were more successful in the u.k.)
swing out sister - breakout

i can't think of anything else at the moment.

Sitting Outside a Broken Phone Booth
~Primitive Radio Gods

You Get What You Give
~New Radicals, just bc their CD is awesome

Great Thread! :D

I LOVE that song from the 80's.... I have no idea who sings it or what it's called...it goes "nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah... Baby give it up give it up... baby give it up.... Yes I know, groundbreaking lyrics :D

Of course there are many others that I love that have already been mentioned and many that havent, I just cant think of any right now!

Stroke 9-Little Back Backpack
Corey Hart-Sunglasses At Night(he did have another song, but not as big as this)
Crowded House-Don't Dream It's Over
Rob Base-It Takes Two

The Verve are hardly one hit wonders...if I recall right they actually went #1 again with 'The Drugs Don't Work' in the UK.

Anyway, as for my choice...

Walking on Sunshine by Katrina & The Waves. Love the horns.

Mine would probably be R. Dean Taylor's "Indiana Wants Me." I would say "Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harem, but I'm pretty sure that's not a one-hit wonder.

My turtle likes "Rock Me Amadeus" by Falco.

Bitch ~ Meredith Brooks
You Get What You Give ~ New Radicals
Spaceman ~ Babylon Zoo

Heehee

Don't You Want Me - Human League
99 Luftballons - Nena
One Night in Bangkok
Rock me Amadeus - Falco
Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners

Not that they are my favourite, but Tubthumpin' by Chumbawamba was definitely one of the bigger one hit wonders of the nineties.

I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never gonna keep me down!

Don't cry for me, Danny boy...

Pissing the night away...

What a hilarious song.

What about the song by Ineekamozee (sp?)- Na, na, na, na, na, na, na...here comes the hot stepper (word 'er up)

And Crowded House was definitely not a one hit wonder!
