I love your list Lemon. I couldn't make a list longer than 10 movies retaining any real sense of order. So I'll start with a top 5 and build from there.

1. Pulp Fiction
2. V For Vendetta
3. The Shawshank Redemption
4. Star Wars: Original Trilogy (I don't care if this is cheating, it's hard enough ranking the Star Wars films alone)
5. Indiana Jones series (cheating again, so sue me)

I could do a top 200 list, let alone 25....but, it's hard to whittle things down to a Top 25.

So, here are 25 films I love, not in order, and it's possible, even likely, I'll leave plenty off that I'd like to have added.

A Clockwork Orange
2001 - A Space Odyssey
Raging Bull
Goodfellas
Annie Hall
Manhattan
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
G-dfather
G-dfather II
The Deer Hunter
The Game
Shawshank Redemption
Schindlers List
Children of Men (yeah, this leaped right into my favorite movies of all time)
Empire Strikes Back (To me, the best action movie of all time)
Star Wars
Whole LOTR Trilogy
Blade Runner
Broadcast News
This is Spinal Tap
North by Northwest
Chariots of Fire
Sideways

That's my list for now.

Films I have yet to see

I judge in a comedy/action flick:

Humor (relevance, is this shit even funny or cool?)
Plot (is it solid enough to build action/comedy off of?)
Memorable Quips ("You know how I know you're gay...")
Rewatchability (Can I see this again and still enjoy it?)
Characters (Do I care about these people, and do they serve their purpose?)

In a drama:

Plot/Theme (Is it a real dramatic situation, and is there some sort of message behind the whole deal?)
Acting (Are they Stallone in "Rocky" or Stallone in "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot"?)
"Chill Scenes" (those scenes that give your spine a little tingle)
Rewatchability (same as above)
Ending (Does it leave a good taste in my mouth... that's what she said)

So it's easier for comedies to make it onto my list. Plus, it's only 25 so many of the dramas rank lower due to "Rewatchability"

Wow. Verrry interesting choices. Most of these wouldn't make my list, but I do like all these films very much, and it's just shocking to see them on one of these lists. Zoolander is one of my faves. And You're like the only other person I've ever seen who also liked K-PAX

And Field of Dreams...oh my god, I'm right there with you. The only movie that gaurantees tears every single time.

Actually you made me think about my own list some more....be right back.

Kingpin is by far the funniest movie I have ever seen.

I don't know what it is about dreamcatcher, I just have to watch it every time it is on.

I love Robin Williams and Edward Norton, So it was impossible for me to not love Death to Smoochy. It's got some great one liners too and I think Robin Williams thinks of something like 20 original names for the old cock n balls.
