Favorite Christmas/Holiday Song...

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I love Ave Maria because my father used to sing it every year and he had a gorgeous tenor voice.

I also love the Little Drummer Boy I don't know why....and What are you Doing New Years Eve.....

O Holy Night is on right now....I've been listening to holiday music all week.

I love the classics like Nat King Cole's Christmas Song (Merry Christmas) and White Christmas! Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmas Time! But I do have a really soft corner for Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You! It's just sooo feel good!

The Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping
Greg Lake - I Believe In Father Christmas
The Pogues & Kirsty Maccoll - Fairytale Of New York

*Kicks self for forgetting to include "Fairytale of New York" on her Christmas mix CD* How the hell did I forget that one? That's a great song.

Other great Christmas songs:

-U2's version of "Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)" (of course)
-Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers-"Christmas All Over Again"
-Squeeze-"Christmas Day"
-Trans-Siberian Orchestra-"Christmas Eve Sarajevo" (the music in this song kicks some serious arse)
-Mannheim Steamroller-"Silent Night" (even though it always makes me a bit sad when I hear it)
-John Lennon-"Happy XMas (War Is Over)" (just a classic)

As for traditional ones, always liked songs like "Deck The Halls" and "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" and stuff like that.

I just watched Elf, and the only good thing about it was Zooey Deschanel's version of "Baby, It's Cold Outside."
