The first 3 Spinal Tap drummers

John "Stumpy" Pepys -- died in 1969 in a bizarre gardening accident.
Eric Childs -- died 1974, choking to death on someone else's vomit.
Peter "James" Bond -- spontaneously combusted on stage in 1977.

And Terry Bozio

No mention of Darren King! That's sad! He is probably the most innovative incredible drummer I've ever seen.

He makes Matt Tong look amateur, and I love Matt Tong!

Top would be...

Darren King
Ian Matthews (played live with Kasabian)
Matt Tong
Jimmy Chamberlain

The first time I saw Darren King and Ian Matthews play, I just sat there and stared in amazement for almost the entire concert. Unbelievable!

Ok, well I had to Google "Darren King" because I didn't even know who he was.

So I've never heard any Mute Math. Any recommendations on what I should start with to check out their sound?

And I do love Matt Tong! But, to his credit, I think he really checked himself and took a back seat to the songs for "Weekend In The City". The drumming's still great, but it's almost like he decided to try and NOT be the shining star of the album.
