Hi, Violet
Well, sort of. After years of alternatively liking and despising English band Blur, I'm developing a bit of a soft spot lately for their zany madness.

The reason I despised them for so long, was that although undeniably talented, their pre-1997 music in particular seemed to me to embody a kind of smart-arse, style-over-substance, soulless, derivative, shallow vibe that fitted all too well with post-Thatcher Britain.

And you know what? They were all of those things, but lately I've spotted a bit of shine amongst the trash. Some songs like 'The Universal', 'Country House' and 'Entertain Me' stand out as actually not being too bad.

But I still prefer the falling-apart-at-the-seams Blur of 'Blur' and '13'. Damon Albarn's lyrics no longer annoy me, as they are no longer decipherable. All is well.

Blur=viddy good.

But is there sweetness at all?

blur are probably my 3rd favourite band.
People who think they are some trashy little talentless britpop band havent heard most of their albums.

Hearing Song 2 and Girls and Boys will do that i guess.

Long live the lemon!!!

I die every time I hear this song...

And into the sea goes pretty England and damn me
Around the Bay of Biscay and back for tea
Hit traffic on the dogger bank<---dead here
Up the Thames to find a taxi rank
Sail on by with the tide and go to sleep
And the radio says

THIS IS A LOW
BUT IT WON'T HURT YOU
WHEN YOU ARE ALONE IT WILL BE THERE WITH YOU
FINDING WAYS TO STAY SOLO

On the Tyne forth and Cramity
There's a low in the high forties
And Saturday's locked away on the pier
Not fast enough dear
And on the Malin head, Blackpool looks blue and red
And the Queen, she's gone round the bend
Jumped off Land's End
