Some PolSci stuff is rather fun. I mean, I've had some stunningly good debates in tutorials for various PolSci courses. But ugh, could most of the authors possibly be any more dry and uninspired? You can just feel they're churning it out simply to keep their cushy faculty position and know that what they're writing is complete tripe.

Well exactly about the text book, and the fact that the professor was just like that as well. I imagined the next 8 years being full of people and books like that and fled in terror

Ugh, yeah. Some PolSci academics are just painful. I've had some great ones as well, but ... well, the great ones make it tolerably engaging, which speaks volumes about the material really just not being that exciting on the whole! I'm sure if I'd found something to specialise in, it'd be different, but I didn't, and trying to find something that really fascinated me proved fruitless - especially once I got hooked on Kiwi history.

my poli sci teacher! See, I can draw about as well as I can sing, and one day I drew a picture of him in my notebook. It's become rather infamous amongst my friends and I now. I think it may have become lost to time though
