hey all,

well as you probably know, since August I have been in Europe travelling, studying, travelling...you get the idea. :D I've been sending my film back to the States to my parents to have developed and put on Snapfish, so since I have some time on a computer right now, I thought I'd post some of them here. Unfortunately, they are kinda small and I am not real happy with the developing job  but what can you do? So here goes.

The view from Trafalgar Square, London.

Children playing in the fountains at Trafalgar. There was some sort of a peace concert going on while I was there and it was interesting to mingle with all the people.

one of the big highlights of my London stay was getting a standing-room ticket at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and seeing a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Wasn't allowed to take photos during the performance, but here is what the place looks like without the actors.

moving from London to the English countryside...these were taken near the border of Wales at this really pretty outdoor park/reserve, an area that the legendary King Arthur supposedly used to hang out in. :D

On my last day in England, I had a few hours to kill in London before catching my plane to Oslo, Norway so I called up Anthony (yes, our very own FYM mod Anthony) and we went out for lunch and a bit of sightseeing in Greenwich. Lovely area. And he's a great guy to hang with too. awwww.

Hello,

Very nice pictures Sula! That Shakespeare Globe Theatre certainly looks very nice. So, when are we going to see the beautiful (?) spots of the Netherlands?

C ya!

Marty

P.S. Have fun on your trip to Berlin (and Prague, and Vienna) and say hi to Vorsprung from me.

I just had to take a pic of this...it just makes me laugh every time. I know that technically "the way out" makes sense...but it always makes me think of some California surfer dude goin' "way ouuuut, duuuuuude!"

oh and popmartijn, I don't know exactly when the Dutch piccies will be developed and up, but one can only hope they won't take too long. :D And that they won't break the computer. ;) I'll say hi to Vorsprung tonite!

and on to Norway. Morning in Oslo after arriving late, getting a ride into the city with someone I had just met on the airplane, and staying up into the wee hours of the night talking and catching up with one of my Norwegian friends from college.

In the tiny farm village near Bergen where another friend of mine (an American this time) was getting married to his Norwegian girlfriend. I got a healthy dose of old-fashioned Scandanavian hospitality while staying with her relatives.
