I know you saw Ryan Adams last night...with Jesse Malin opening!!!!

You lucky bugger!!!

I want details!!!

Oh well, indeed I did. I wasnt aware that Malin would open, but he did. He was pretty good, and as New York as they come. He played almost only from Fine Art of Self Destruction and Ryan joined him on drums for the last few songs.

Then on to Ryan, very brave set he played. I was very impressed with the Cardnils, great backing band. He opened with Brooklyn, a Malin cover of course, and it was brilliant. (better than Jesse i dare say) Makes me want a boot of the show....(im looking in someones direction)
He then did 3 straight heartbreaker tunes, including Carolina, and I was really enjoying it. I dont have the setlist, but the last few songs included a slowed down "Last Night" Strokes cover with Ryan on aucoustic guitar, as well as some solo piano stuff, the last song was brilliant, and may have been new, not sure.
He did encore with "Wish you were here" and proceeded to smash his electric at the end and hand it to someone in the front. The group I was with was underwhelemed I think. I thought it was a brilliant show however.

Does he still come out to the Star Wars theme? I saw him once and he did it with the house lights. Pretty cool I thought.

Reviews at the Ryan board have been good! I'm quite envious!

Someone posted a handful of pics...here's one for ya!

Thanks, very nice set. Caught in a dream I think was an excellent song. Great show.
