I believe that cold sores are caused by a herpes virus and that there are now several products on the market to help....think you need a prescription, tho.....

Its posible that it just may be an acid bump. In that case, she's either got to much stress or has been eating/drinking a lot of acidic things.. ex. orange juice, grapefruits... Tell her to relax and start eating some apples or something.
