Eels
What?? There is no thread on Eels? I had to create one, he makes some great music. Personal favorites are Dead of Winter, Ugly Love, I Need Some Sleep, and of course Novacaine for the Soul. Any other fans out there?

I liked most of Beautiful Freak, but I dunno, I can't get past how smug a lot of it is.

I've never been able to warm to his stuff, either. It feels calculated and cold, too me, in spite of how warm it's supposed to be. Not terrible by any stretch, but just something I can't get into no matter how hard I try.

i think i'd like "love of the loveless" a whole lot better if it didn't remind me of the one sublime song (i forget what it's called. the i can play the guitar like a motherfuckin riot one). but i like it quite a bit anyway.
that's the only song i know. |

I saw E open for Tori Amos back in 1992 on her first tour - he was amazing. His solo album A Man Called E has always been a personal favorite
